Tanushree was born and brought up in Jamshedpur and went on to do her graduation from Pune.In 2004 she participated in the Miss India contest and was crowned Miss India Universe.Tanushree represented India at the Miss Universe pageant in 2004.Tanushree was one of the 80 contestants at the 53rd Miss Universe held at Quito, Ecuador.Though she didn't win the crown, Tanushree made it to the final 10 in the contest.She made her Bollywood debut with the 2005 film Aashiq Banaya Aapne.Tanushree's latest release Rokkk is a supernatural thriller.
