Shruti Hassan now in Bollywood

Shruti Hassan, the latest one to join the gang of newcomers in bollywood . If the name Shruti Hassan doesn’t ring a bell, then let us inform you that Shruti is the incredibly talented daughter of two of the finest actors of our country, Kamal Hassan and Sarika.

Shruti, who was recently in the news for her string of musical concerts, would be making her Bollywood debut with Soham Shah’s Luck, an action packed film starring Sanjay Dutt, Mithun Chakraborty, Imran Khan, Danny Denzongpa, Ravi Kissen and Rati Agnihotri in prominent roles.

According to director Soham, the role suited Shruti Hassan perfectly as her character is involved in a lot of action and Shruti’s lean and athletic look fit the bill completely. Although Shruti quite liked her role, she consulted her dad for final approval before signing on the dotted line.Shooting will begin on 8th July in South Africa, where it will be shot from start to finish.Luck is a Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision Ltd. The most crucial scene of the much awaited film ‘London Dreams’ was shot recently by Salman Khan and Asin. The scene which demands that Salman propose Asin on his kness was shot underneath the beautiful Eiffel Tower in Paris.

Apparently it was Salman Khan’s idea that the scene be shot at this romantic place. It came out as a pleasant surprise when the director-actor duo went to check out Eiffel Tower on Champ de Mar that the tower was lit up in blue and gold as France was celebrating their presidency of European Union.

Aamir's Ghajini

The Perfectionist seems to have lost his spirit following the recent terror attacks in Mumbai. He poured out his anger through his blog. As if that was not enough, he criticised the media for being irresponsible. He said that minute by minute live reporting could endanger the whole operation process. He added that he proposed to the makers of Ghajini to delay its release, as he was not in the frame of mind.

On the contrary, Ghajini producer Madhu Mantena says that the film will arrive earlier. The film was slated for release on Thursday, 25th December, but the makers have decided to release it on Wednesday, 24th December night. "We’re organising paid previews across the country on Wednesday night, which means we’re releasing Ghajini a day earlier," Madhu tells me.

Ghajini is no doubt one of the most-awaited Bollywood films of the year. Aamir Khan has infected the minds of the people with his stunning photo shoots. His muscular look in the promotional photos was something that not even his fans imagined. Film lovers may be dying to see him in action but the he has a different view. He said that he wanted to postpone the release of the film.

Aamir may be aware of the current economic situation too, which is turning from bad to worst, but the makers of the film are adamant on releasing it as scheduled on 24th December. Not a date for Akshay-Asin,,she is busy

It seems South India’s Next Best Thing Asin is determined to take her success-quotient to a high level in Bollywood as it is in Tamil and Telugu cinema. No false moves no slipups for the stunning sensation from the South, who is being touted as a blend of Hema Malini and Rekha.

Just recently, Asin gave the nod to three biggies with Aamir Khan (Ghajini), Salman Khan-Ajay Devgan (London Dreams) and last but certainly not the least, Akshay Kumar (Aise Ko Taisa). Now the news is, Asin is out of Priyadarshan’s comedy with Akshay Kumar. Reason? According to her polite father, "There’s a date clash with the promos of Ghajini."

However, the director Priyadarshan is more forthcoming. "The Akshay film is a three-heroine project. I don’t think Asin would be comfortable with that. My producers Venus are looking into the matter of the heroines. We start shooting in November. So we’ve ample time to find the girls."

As far as Asin is concerned, the signal is loud and clear. This girl is here only to do author-backed central roles. No less.

Elesh doesn't earn enough for Rakhi
